Katie Meredith Joins Estes Wealth Strategies Team as Client Services Associate—and Other Recent Promotions
It’s our pleasure to announce that Katie Meredith has joined the Estes Wealth Strategies team as Client Services Associate. Along with Kathleen Lazor and Jessica Wilson, she will support day-to-day client service delivery and practice operations.
Previously, Katie was a management consultant focused on areas such as strategic planning, process improvement, organizational development, and human capital measurement, with an industry emphasis on insurance and financial services. She has also tutored extensively in math, primarily in algebra.
Katie earned her B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia, studying finance and management. She also holds an MBA with distinction from Cornell University and a Master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
Katie and her husband live in Vienna, Virginia, with their two sons. She is an active volunteer, most recently as a summer swim team representative at Vienna Aquatic Club. Outside of the time she spends cheering at swim meets and soccer games, she also enjoys sewing, ice skating, and puzzles of all kinds.
We are also pleased to announce the recent promotion of Kathleen Lazor to Senior Client Relationship Manager in recognition of the daily leadership she demonstrates in serving clients and setting the standard for personalized customer service and responsiveness. Kathleen just completed her ninth year with the practice—and we honestly don’t know how we functioned previously without her. We are so appreciative of her contributions to our smooth operations and client satisfaction. Fun fact: Kathleen recently welcomed her first grandchild and will be welcoming another one later this Spring!
Jessica Wilson was also recently promoted to Client Relationship Manager. Jess joined our practice in early 2023. Jess’ particular skill at wrangling many moving parts into tangible checklists and processes has been an enormous benefit as our practice grows. She has been able to apply her legal background to helping us review and track client estate documents. She also is our primary liaison with tax preparers and estate attorneys, helping ensure seamless coordination with our clients’ other professional partners. Fun fact: Before joining EWS, Jess homeschooled her four children—a telling example of her organizational skills, patience, and sense of humor.
We feel so fortunate—and hope our clients feel the same—to have such talented and professional individuals running our client services team. Please join us in welcoming Katie and thanking Kathleen and Jess for their stellar service!
